Monogram : Stencil Making! :)

Hey guysss ^.^

I made stencils for my monograms!

Initially I wanted to make 4 different sizes for my monogram, but I one of the sizes was really small, so I trashed that idea.

Here, I’ll show you how small it is.

It’s the size of half my thumb!

Here are the 3 other sizes that I made into stencils! :)

Oyeah, I had to make double stencils by the way.

Meaning one for the sail, which is in red, and another for the boat, which is in blue ^.^

The first one is the size of my thumb :D

The second stencil is the size of my pointer finger :)

The second stencil is the size of my pointer finger :) (and yes, I have bony fingers haha)

And the last stencil is about the size of my palm! ^.^

STENCILS : New snake stencil and samples using a highlighter ^.^

Heyy peeeeoplee ^.^

I showed my stencils to Miss Lisa, and she requested that I make another snake stencil to even up the number of stencils for each animal :)

I immediately started designing a new stencil in class and came up with this :D

It’s a curled up cobra hahaha.

I showed the design to Miss Lisa, and she decided that this design looked better than the first design.

The first design looked like the snake was short, and the proportions were a little imbalanced hahaha.

So I trashed the first design and started cutting the new one out ^.^

And here is the stencil for the new design! C:

So after all that, we had to make sure the stencils worked and that they didn’t have any “leaks”.

I used a highlighter to make samples of the stencils and this is how they turned out.

 And again, the snakes ^.^

So now that all the stencils are done, we are going to start making the lanterns that will display the designs that will come out of these stencils! :D

We have already divided our class into 3 groups, one to measure the cardboards, one to cut the cardboards and another team to measure and cut the Styrofoams that are going to be used to float the lanterns on the lake! :)

We’ve already made prototypes of the lanterns, so we already have the measurements set ^.^

And we shall start making the lanterns on Monday! :D

Oh and another extra announcement.

The date for the floating exhibition will be entirely up to us now. We don’t have any deadlines to meet and therefore, our work will not look like it’s rushed. We want it to look like we worked hard on it. :)

Stay tuned, people! ^.^
